Wiper Linkage Parts for Jeep CJ7
Wiper Motors, Arms & Washer System for a Clear View (1976-1986).
Why the CJ7 wiper motor and linkage suffer inside the windshield frame.
On the CJ7, the wiper motor isn't tucked away in the engine bay. It is mounted outside on the fold-down windshield frame, and the linkage runs from there through the frame to the passenger side. That position is exactly what makes the system vulnerable: rain, road spray and salt get into the frame and the motor housing, the pivot points corrode, and the motor works against growing resistance until its brushes and gears wear out. If you often drive with the top off, the wiper blades and washer bottle also take UV exposure and heat. The rubber hardens and chatters, and the plastic turns brittle. When replacing the motor, check the plug first: up to 1983 the CJ7 used a 3-wire wiper motor, from 1983 on a 4-wire unit. Since wipers and washers are part of every roadworthiness inspection, a working system on a CJ7 is no minor detail.

Twelve parts from Crown, the washer bottle from Omix.
Nearly the entire range comes from Crown Automotive. The wiper motors, arms and blades, the washer pump, the spacer and the dash knobs are all made by this US specialist, which focuses entirely on Jeep replacement parts. The washer reservoir kit with pump, cap and filter comes from Omix, another American brand with a focus on classic Jeeps. That keeps your CJ7 on the US parts it was engineered around.
