Why hinges, hood catches and bumpers are the first to age on a CJ7.
On the CJ7, most exterior hardware sits out in the open. Hood, door and windshield hinges, as well as the hood catches, are mounted in plain sight on the body. Road salt, spray and stone chips hit them without any protection. From the factory, many of these parts were simply painted. After decades, rust takes hold, hinge pins wear loose and mirrors start to rattle. Off-road, bumpers and rocker areas also carry the scars of rocks and recoveries. When you replace them, you can choose between factory-correct black and rust-free stainless steel that never needs repainting. Then there are the upgrades that make a CJ7 more capable on and off the road: recovery points, auxiliary lights, a body lift and wheel spacers. Because the bodies are closely related, many parts also fit the CJ5, CJ8 and Wrangler YJ.

- Bumpers, rocker guards & recovery: The Rock Crawler front bumper in black, dual tube and stainless front bumpers, plus the rear tube bumper with 2-inch receiver and bumperettes. The side tube steps are made specifically for the CJ7. 4,300 kg D-rings, tow hooks, a receiver recovery hitch and hitch plugs round out the range.
- Hood, grille & front end: The stainless steel grille overlay, also available with headlight covers, plus bug screens, a frame cover, hood vent cover and air scoop. For the hood there are hinges, windshield tie-downs, a hood lock and TJ-style hood catches.
- Doors, tailgate & windshield frame: The black stainless door hinge set, paddle handles for full steel doors and hardtop tailgate hinges. Add windshield hinges with screw set, wiper arms, entry guards and a fuel filler bezel.
- Mirrors, lighting & antenna: The stainless steel mirror set, mirror heads and trail mirrors. Plus LED auxiliary lights with windshield bracket, round E-marked LED lamps, a light bar, tail light guards and a chrome antenna.
- Wheels & spare tire: 60 mm wheel spacers with certificate, chrome and bullet-style lug nuts, and wheel locks. For the spare there is a carrier kit for larger tires, a tool rack, tire stops and the Black Diamond tire cover.
- Hardware, emblems & plates: A 3-inch body lift kit, extended brake hoses, a Dana 30 differential cover, a dual battery tray and a chrome air filter kit for the V8 engines. Plus the CJ-7 decal, the AMC emblem and license plate holders.
